There’s a principle woven all throughout Scripture that many overlook when it comes to their health:

Stewardship.

We talk about stewarding finances. Stewarding time. Stewarding our gifts.

But what about stewarding our bodies?

The truth is, many women treat their cars better than their hormones. They plan their vacations better than they plan their wellness. They’ll spend money on purses, nails, or processed foods—but say they can’t afford bloodwork, supplements, or fitness.

Let me lovingly say this: we cannot fulfill a Kingdom calling in a body we’ve neglected.

This week, I got my blood drawn. Why? Not because I’m sick—but because I’m responsible.

I use organic bioidentical hormone pellets. I move my body daily. I rise early. Because I believe aging is optional—and vitality is possible.

Why? Because I understand what Jesus meant when He shared the parable of the talents.

In Matthew 25, the master gives each according to their own ability. One received five talents. Another two. Another one.

Not all were given equally—but all were expected to multiply.

And let me tell you:

Your body is one of your talents.

It’s a gift. It’s an assignment. It’s the vessel that carries the vision.

You may not be able to change the genetic hand you were dealt—but you can choose how you care for what you’ve been given.

  • You can fuel it wisely.

  • You can get your labs done.

  • You can prioritize rest.

  • You can invest in longevity and strength.

But here's where it gets Kingdom-level serious:

To whom much is given, much is required. (Luke 12:48)

If you’ve been entrusted with vision, calling, leadership, business, family, or ministry—you don’t get to neglect your temple.

You are required to steward it.

We are triune beings—body, soul, and spirit. Neglecting your body will eventually spill over into every other area.

But hear this: self-care isn’t vanity. It’s honor.

Not the kind that idolizes appearance. But the kind that says:

"God, thank You for this vessel. I will treat it like it matters."

And when you do? The aesthetics become a bonus—not the goal.

Jeremiah 17:7-8 says the righteous will be like trees planted by the water— whose leaves are always green, who never fail to bear fruit.

That freshness? That longevity? It’s the fruit of rooted stewardship.

So today, I challenge you:

  • Schedule the bloodwork.

  • Get serious about your health.

  • Prioritize the woman in the mirror.

Because when you do? You’re not just choosing wellness. You’re choosing obedience.

And Heaven honors obedience.
